Do 14k or 18k gold tarnish, scratch and, bend?

Metals that can tarnish include copper, brass, bronze, and alloys – that includes any fine jewellery that are less than 24k. But compared to 18K gold, 14K wears more slowly and is more resistant to scratching, bending, and scuffing. That’s because it has a higher percentage of the other metals mixed in to make it harder and more durable. For tips on caring for your jewellery, you can check the our Jewelry Care Page.
